Kamrakasi Films is a boutique award-winning production company based in London with experience of working all around the world. A reel of both drama and documentary films which challenge both genre and classification. Each style is developed with a spontaneous embrace of improvisation and capturing of the moment, focussing on neglected people and stories that shine light onto the realities of the human condition in all of its shades.
Our films are internationally driven. Kamrakasi Films have produced films in UK, France, Spain, Brazil, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Thailand, Burma, Cambodia and Australia. Each environment and project has produced its own challenges which in turn shape the films with cultural influences from where they were shot and experiences of each shoot developing into a global approach to film making that is carried into all projects. Using the language of cinema we are able to communicate even when words let us down.
Kamrakasi Films has produced three feature films; two drama and one documentary, 15 shorts, both drama and documentary, that have screened at festivals around the world as well as producing films for wide range of organisations including Plan International, Vertigo Films, Future First, UK Athletics, Jazz Cafe, Reggae Roast and collaborating with production companies and visual artists.
Whether with one camera or a 25 person crew our language of cinema stays the same; our goal is to create interesting stories, about human characters with a cinematic approach whatever the situation or project.
