Castles Made Of Sand (2014) 75 Minutes
Castles Made Of Sand is a story of one mans quest for redemption. The hallowed tale of a man stuck in the mud as he tires to pick his life up after returning from prison. An exploration of loneliness unfolds in the gritty realist shooting style as George seeks meaning in the world around him mending the broken bridges that have haunted him from years of solitude and regret.
He finds momentary glimpses of the possibilities of a future in the face of his now fully grown daughter who has no idea who he is and small seeds of hope that spring up in his garden.
The film is an introverted journey into one man’s self destruction. Each step brings with it new challenges.
Castles Made Of Sand premiered at the East London Film Festival in 2014 and toured festivals around the world picking up an award at the Indie Fest San Francisco 2014.
